Here's the layout I made for WATERCOLORING week on the American Crafts blog!
XO by Paige Evans
DESCRIPTION: The Finders Keepers collection definitely has a watercoloring-vibe so I tried to accentuate that by adding some watercoloring on top and behind a few of the pre-die cut words.
JOURNALING SAYS: It was so fun to see my scrapbooking friends at PaperWorld in Frankfurt! I love that scrapping has brought us all together. So much fun.
HOW TO: Trim patterned paper strips then sew them with black thread across a kraft cardstock background; bend up the edges for dimension. Watercolor inside the die cut words and bring out the colors of the papers by watercoloring on top. Layer a photo over a journaling card and embellish with stickers, mylar flair, a Thickers title, puffy stickers, journaling, and more! Create a floral cluster using a die cut trimmed in half on the top right and bottom left corners.
SUPPLIES: Cardstock, patterned paper, die cuts, stickers, rubber charms, Thickers, pen, adhesive: American Crafts; Sewing machine: Brother; Thread: Coats & Clark; Watercolors: Loew Cornelle
Tip: create clusters of embellishments to draw the eye all around the page!
