I've always been one of those people who thought people who decorated before Thanksgiving were a little nutso, ba-humbug.
BUT this year, well, the Christmas bug has definitely come early! It feels like every day we're putting up a li'l somethin' somethin' in preparation for the holidays. ALSO, I'm vowing here and now to start scouring for and creating Thanksgiving decorations for next year because I shamefully admit I have NONE! AHH!
First we wrapped the stairs with garlands, lights, and red bows then topped the scrapbook cabinet with a pretty pink tree.
Then we strung doily "snowflakes" from all the windows. It's like we're in a winter wonderland!
Another view of the stairs.
I've had these apothecary jars since Fox's first birthday party and they've just been sitting on top of the cabinets in the kitchen, only brought down once in a blue moon for something or other. Then I got the idea to fill them with ornaments! Why didn't I think of this the last 5 years?!
We busted out the Christmas tree too.... sorrynotsorry!
So many little details to notice and love: the lightstrand necklaces around Jane's neck, reading the Charlie Brown book, their poses!, Home Alone in the background. If only Rachel was sitting under the tree like she loves to do!
