Stitching the Stitching Paper!

Friday, January 8, 2016

Hello from Los Angeles! Man it feels SO GOOD to be back in my old stomping grounds. We very fondly called LA our home for 4 years before moving abroad. When people in Germany ask us where we're from, we say LA. Anyway, back to the point of this post! On the long 11 hour flight from Paris to LA I stitched the "stitching" paper from Fancy Free! Yes, I was able to bring a needle and small sewing scissors on the plane. I've done this several times and haven't had any issues going through security luckily!

I did my best to match the thread to the colors printed on the papers.

 A couple different angles.

I use DMC embroidery floss, fyi.

Up close look at the stitching.
Planning to turn this into a layout, or maybe just frame it like the bird stitching project!
