It's Mix'n'Match Week on the Pink Paislee blog and here's the layout I created for my post:

DESCRIPTION: I loving mixing and matching collections to create custom colors and themes. I used mostly Fancy Free and C'est La Vie but I also included a few things from Cedar Lane, Memorandum, and Citrus Bliss.

JOURNALING SAYS: You are so independent, stubborn, strong-willed, too smart for your own good, and I love you.

HOW TO: Measure the center of a layout and place a scratch 2.5" square in there. Trim 1/2" paper strips. Edge the square with the strips and trim the excess. Continue placing square of paper strips, slightly rotating them all the way around until you reach the edge of the layout. To add texture and make sure the strips stay put forever I stitched them down then bent up the edges. Layer a photo, frame, chipboard, title, stickers, and more, in the center. Type and print journaling, trim it out, and adhere the strips above and below the photo. Drop black ink on the top right and bottom left sides.

SUPPLIES: Patterned paper, stickers, toothpick arrow, die cuts, frame, chipboard parenthesis: Pink Paislee; Font: Traveling Typewriter; India ink: ProArt; Sewing machine: Brother; Thread: Coats & Clark
