Friday, September 23, 2016

I have a layout up on the Pink Paislee blog today for punches week! I "heart" punches - such a great way to make lots of the same shape, FAST!

DESCRIPTION: Folding paper hearts in half and grouping them together is a lovely way to create flowers! I love how you can see into the petals and all the different colors and patterns together!

JOURNALING SAYS: You are the sunshine in our souls and you make us laugh so hard every day! We still call you sweet and sour though, for obvious reasons :)

HOW TO: To start, I picked patterned papers from both Take Me Away and Fancy Free and used a large heart punch to make 49 hearts. Fold each heart in half and group them into circles of 7 to make 7 flowers! Repeat the process using a slightly smaller heart punch to make 3 more little flowers. On a patterned paper background (Fancy Free Paper 09), paint white and splash watercolors on top. Once the background is dry, adhere three photos, all of your paper flowers, and a smattering of embellishments diagonally across the page. Stamp with the roller stamp between some of the open spaces. Create a title below one of the photos and write journaling to finish!

SUPPLIES: Patterned paper, Thickers, mirror stickers, puffy stickers, chipboard stickers, roller stamp, buttons, die cuts: Fancy Free and Take Me Away by Paige Evans / Pink Paislee; Pen, adhesive: American Crafts; Heart punches: Fiskars; Ink: StazOn; Paint: FolkArt; Watercolors: Loew Cornell
