We spent about 24 hours in the car this last week driving around France so I brought along a stitching project to help pass the time!
TIME SPENT WITH CATS IS NEVER WASTED by Paige Evans
DESCRIPTION: I saw this print on etsy, turned it into a cut file, and stitched it. Instead of painting in the letters or filling them with patterned paper, I "string arted" them!
JOURNALING SAYS: I have an unhealthy obsession with my fat cat Rachel - but luckily I think the feelings are mutual because Rachel loves to snuggle me as much as I do! She purrs sooo loud, like a chainsaw, I love it! She's so soft and sweet and nice and adorable and I love Rachel!
HOW TO: Draw a big title onto white cardstock using a Silhouette Camep, pierce holes, then stitch through them changing colors of thread for each letter. I backstitched around the outline first and then just tried to cover the entire letter with back and forth stitching, going into each hole at least once. Cut a piece of colorful stripe paper and adhere it on the right edge. Layer two photos and embellishments over the paper. Journal on the left then drop watercolors around.
SUPPLIES: Cardstock, pen, adhesive: American Crafts; Patterned paper, wood veneer, paperclip, button, mirror leaves, die cuts, roller stamp: Pink Paislee; Watercolors: Loew Cornell; Floss: DMC; Cut file: Etsy; Die cut machine: Silhouette Cameo
DETAIL SHOTS:
Off to go snuggle Rachel :)

ReplyDeleteI started to read your post and for a second I went, "wait, France?". LOL, then I realized I had time traveled back to 2016. Look how pretty it was 😄! You were ahead of the curve, adding stitching back then. Super fun and beautiful ! 🥰
