The new 4th of July collection from Pink Paislee called Sweet Freedom is hands down my favorite Independence Day collection EVER! I love its shabby feel, "buffalo plaid", and western vibes. Antique chic!
4TH OF JULY by Paige Evans
DESCRIPTION: A single die cut star found in the Sweet Freedom ephemera pack inspired this entire layout!
JOURNALING SAYS: We had such a fun and memorable 4th of July with Tom, Margi, and Nick in our backyard!
HOW TO: Die cut the "4th of July Star" from any color of cardstock to use as a template to trace and cut 10 pieces of patterned paper from the 6x6 Sweet Freedom paper pad. Hand stitch around each paper piece then use foam adhesive to attach the star onto a subtle cream striped paper background. Tuck a photo under the right side and embellish with a journaling card, die cuts, and puffy sticker. Make a die cut cluster on the left side and a couple hearts in the center. Tuck a flower die cut and a fussy cut flower under the top right side. Machine stitch three die cuts in place. Journal with a black pen on the top left. Drop white paint in three places to finish.
SUPPLIES: Patterned paper, die cuts, puffy sticker: Sweet Freedom by Pink Paislee; Sewing machine: Brother; Thread: Coats & Clark; Die cut machine: Silhouette Cameo 3; Star cut file: Paige Evans; Pen, adhesive: American Crafts
