Now that Easter 2017 has come and gone it's time to start documenting those memories you made! Design team member Stefanie Ried has a beautiful layout to share today (like always! Everything she makes is beautiful!) with an Easter theme.
Did you have a nice Easter weekend? I enjoyed the time with my family. The most beautiful tradition is the dyeing and decorating of eggs with my daughter. Last year I also decorated a few eggs and I took a picture of them and wanted to use this photo on my Easter layout for today. I made the title large enough to form a border on the upper and lower edge of the layout. A step-by-step tutorial with images will show you how I created this layout.
It took awhile to choose the papers. I wanted to make it look bright, like the photo. The papers are from all three of Paige's collections.
At first I had thought about cutting out the big letters with the Silhouette Cameo, but then I decided to use scissors. This makes it even more personal and I like it when it does not look perfect.
I first sketched the letters on white paper with a pencil and cut them out. These serve as a template.
Now place the stencils on the selected papers and trace with a pencil. Then cut the letters out.
With the sewing machine I sewed the letters on the white cardstock. You can also glue them.
Finally place the photo in the middle. The flowers in bronze fit great with the title in pastel. These are from the Oh My Heart Sticker Book and Ephemera Die Cuts.
Thank you for your time! Have a nice spring with lots of sunshine!

With a simple and beautiful design like this, you can have your Easter photos printed and scrapped and into an album in no time!
Lovely design which doesn't use a cut file so everyone can use this simple idea!
ReplyDeleteOh thanks :) Yes, not everyone has a silhouette and therefore it is a simple possibility. xo Steffi
