It's interNational Scrapbook Day today, hooray! To celebrate, I made a layout!

DESCRIPTION: This entire layout was built around the beautiful free cut file designed by Alex Gadji for Paper Issues! I've added the link in the supplies.
JOURNALING SAYS: We were at one of the neatest places I've ever been "Carcassonne, France) but you were more interested in picking dandelions! Kids will be kids.
HOW TO: Die cut the Rose Background from floral paper (Paper 13) and then use spray adhesive to attach it to pink ombre paper (Paper 14 B-side). Pierce a hole every 1/4" or so around the flower and then backstitch through using white floss. I did the stitching during the 30 hour road trip we took to Andorra and back for Spring Break. I actually completed three stitching projects, so about 10 hours each. Definitely helped pass the time! I even used a photo from the same trip so it makes this layout more meaningful since they're tied together. Ok where was I... Fussy cut flowers from Paper 06 then use them as a photo mat along with Chipboard Sticker flowers and Ephemera Die Cut flowers. Fussy cut a pink border from Paper 17 then stitch it under the photo. Use mini alphabet stickers to create the title in the white space of the photo. Type, print, and trim journaling then adhere the strips below the photo to finish.
SUPPLIES: Patterned paper, chipboard stickers, die cuts: Oh My Heart by Paige Evans / Pink Paislee; Mini alpha stickers: Heidi Swapp; Cardstock, adhesive: American Crafts; Rose Background cut file: Alex Gadji; Die cut machine: Silhouette Cameo 3; Sewing machine: Brother; Thread: Coats & Clark; Floss: DMC; Font: Traveling Typewriter

I'm so terrible with words!! I have so much I want to say about scrapbooking, but I best I express my feelings through art, namely... scrapbooking! This hobby is more than just a hobby, it's such a big part of my life and I'm so thankful for all the wonderful opportunities scrapbooking has brought to me and my family! I'm gonna take paper, scissors, and glue with me to the grave!
