Soft florals, simple details, and pretty layers - the secret combination to a beautiful layout! Design team member Flóra Farkas is here today to share a layout she made about her mom which is perfect for Mother's Day coming up on Sunday!
We celebrated Mother’s Day on May 7th in my country so I thought to make a layout about my mom. I chose one of the latest photo of us. We took it after a great day in a shopping mall - this happens quite rarely due to the distance. So those shopping days are always special for us and we pamper ourselves a lot.
For this layout I mainly used Take Me Away collection but also added bits and pieces from Oh My Heart. This time my starting point was a sketch. I love to use them in case I don’t have a special idea. For the background I used Paper 08 with the woodgrain effect. I fussy cut flowers from the pretty Paper 02 and arranged them on the layout. I adhered them with foam tape to add depth. I really love the green/deep pink color combination so I pulled together coordinating embellishments. I adore this title from the Foam Phrase Thickers sheet, as it’s so lovely but simple.
I was so happy to complete my page with Oh My Heart Chipboard Stickers. Finally I used that cool shopping bag sticker. I love how this girlish element highlights the theme of the layout.
I chose a big tag from the Take Me Away Ephemera Die Cuts to write my journaling. I hope you like it! ;-) Thanks for stopping by!
