My little sister just had a baby (her first!) in July and her baby blessing was over Labor Day weekend. A few days before Allie asked me to make her a banner with Turn the Page - I said of course!! I'd be happy to! She was in charge of picking the papers and left the rest up to me. Here's how it turned out:
Sizewise, each letter is about 11" tall so it's pretty big! I die cut each letter first from cardstock and then adhered the matching patterned paper letter on top for more stability. Next I used my sewing machine to stitch around the edges. Then I punched two little holes through each letter and strung them onto the pink ricrac ribbon in Turn the Page. I quickly added a few embellishments to each letter, no real rhyme or reason, just little clusters here and there. To finish I tied lots more ribbons between each letter and at the ends. I hope Daisy Marie enjoys her banner as much as I enjoyed making it! And I will definitely share pics of her cute little self soon! But first, off to keep unpacking - yes - after 73 days our stuff finally arrived from Germany!!
Awwwwwwwwww this is beautiful! LOVING the colors!! And her and my Brookie share a middle name (and yes, do the spelling on that - that makes my daughter a BMW!! LOL!!) :)
