Bookbinding in My Home Recap

Wednesday, October 11, 2017

Last Saturday I taught a coptic bookbinding workshop in my kitchen! It was such a fun and special day. I love being surrounded by people with similar interests and hobbies :)

Friday afternoon I got everything set up and ready to go.
Chris helped me move some things around to make a little bookbinding station.
Friends came from near and far, all over Washington state. Even Toni From serendipitously was in town and was able to make it to the event with her delightful mother! I was also a wee bit (okay, absolutely and totally!) ecstatic that Shanna Noel (founder of Illustrated Faith) and her daughter came from just the next town over to learn how to bookbind! Should we join forces and teach a workshop together?!
 A beautiful mess.
I promised everyone that they would go home with a finished book - and they did!
Because I demonstrate how to make the books, I end up with one too which is awesome for giving away as a gift!
Emily gave me the most amazing gift. Ya'll know how much I luuuuuuurv Halloween. Check out this charm she made for my October Occasionally 2017 mini album:
 Squeee! I LOVE IT!
Here are all nine finished books. Ta da!!
I hope to have another coptic bookbinding class in my home soon! In the meantime, if you're interested in learning how to make a coptic book, I do have an online class and kits available!
