My Silhouette design team gals have been hard at work creating stunning creation after stunning creation and today I am sharing some fall and Halloween themed pages they've recently made!
This week I (Lorilei Murphy) worked with the Feathers or Leaves cut file! I cut a whole sheet of feathers after sizing them down to about 3.5 inches high. I backed each of the feathers with a paper from the Turn the Page 6x6 Paper Pad. I then added corners to a piece of white cardstock and stitched lace Ribbon from Turn the Page along the edges. Then I fussy cut flowers from the floral paper in the 12x12 Paper Pad and scattered them along the top of the feathers.
Audrey Yeager here! I have two layouts to share with a fall theme. First, I pulled out some fall colored Paige Evans / Pink Paislee papers and used the Feathers or Leaves cut file to make four big leaves. I wanted to add a little bit more brown, so I brought in some kraft paper and colored it with matching inks. Some of the wood veneer from the Turn the Page collection added to the natural feel, too.
Here I used the Leaves Background cut file and the inside leaf shapes from the Folk Art Christmas trees cut file for my green branches on the page. I mixed just about all of Paige's collections on this page and was able to pull out the perfect fall palette of colors! Because my photo was busy and the cut files were so detailed, I kept the embellishments to a minimum.
Next is me, Zsoka Marko! I chose the Flower 12 Petals cut file and the Turn the Page collection for this one. I went with a very simple design and enlarged my cut file, something I do very often. Then I cut the flower from white textured cardstock. I was a little bit stuck at this point because I had no idea how to back this file! I didn't know if I should back every single little piece with different patterned papers or do something else. In the end I decided to use only 3 papers and back the biggest petals. Now this was a bit tricky because after a while the petals should be tucked under the previously attached ones. Not sure if there's an easier way, but probably ha! I generally over complicate things! Once done, I adhered the cut file to the background paper with the help of foam adhesive. I like dimension on my layouts! I glued down my photo and added some embellishments around it: fussy cut and wood veneer flowers and some pieces from the ephemera pack. I created my title using a die cut and a sticker from the sticker sheet. I wrote my journaling on one of the journaling spots and attached it to the left bottom side of my page. As a final step I added some blue ink spatters.
Hi everybody! It's Bea Valint here sharing a fun double page layout using Paige Evans cut files and collections!
It's almost the end of October and my little girl changes her outfit everyday from angel style to a cute witch costume, so she goes from beautiful to BOOtiful! :)
The process is pretty easy and the same for both pages. I started by cutting the cut files from colored cardstock. On the grey layout I used the Bats Background and the pink layout has the Butterflies Background. I cut out the bats and butterflies from patterned paper too and layered them on the cardstock die cut with machine stitching. For the butterflies, I added an extra layer using vellum. I adhered the die cuts to the background and arranged my photo in the middle of my page. Then I embellished the pages with puffy and cardstock stickers, washi tape, fussy cut stars, and butterflies.
I hope you are inspired by all four of these awesomely talented ladies and the way they creatively use cut files!
Wowwwwwwwwww! These are all amazing! I am LOVING the flowers, the feathers, the butterflies and those bats!!! FABULOUS work!!!!!!!!!!!!
