Do More of What Makes You Happy #StickerBook Layout

Hi friends! Here is the 5th of 5 layouts featuring my #StickerBook! I've had a blast playing with 30 pages of stickers and still have plenty leftover!
I started by turning alllllll of the heart stickers into die cuts so I could move them around - to do this I backed them with vellum and fussy cut them out. I had a leftover heart template from teaching and traced it onto cream cardstock then filled in the big heart with all the stickers. I used dimensional adhesive to attach each and every heart in place.
Then I did something I've never done exactly before - I did a chain stitch around the heart! Usually I just make a simple backstitch but this time I did a chain stitch and I looooooove how thick it is! It really makes the colors POP. I will definitely be doing more chain stitching in the future, that's for sure!
Then I cut the entire heart out around the stitching - I wanted to do some mixed media behind the heart. I make it a goal to try and never use the same patterned paper from my current collection for a background - afterall, there are 48 options!! So I chose Paper 14 since I hadn't used it yet and it looked nice with the colorful heart, then I smudged white acrylic paint around the middle. I used the packaging technique to apply watercolors on top. Once it dried (with the help of a hairdryer!) I adhered the heart back on top then placed my photo, word and phrase stickers, journaling spot sticker (with journaling written on it), scalloped border sticker tucked under the side, and I fussy cut the title from another piece of Paper 14.
Repetition is one of my favorite scrappy techniques so it was all about the hearts on this page! And there are plenty of them in my #StickerBook as you can see! :)
