Happy DECEMBER - can you believe it?! The last month of 2017!! For today's post I asked Stefanie Ried to create a mini album in her "signature style" and the results are... STUNNING! OF COURSE! Can she even make a bad mini album? Heck no!
I love the 6x6 and 12x12 Paper Pads from the Turn the Page collection because there are some papers covered with gold foil that shimmer and are so beautiful. So far, I have hoarded the papers with the quilt patterns (Paper 10, Paper 13, and Paper 20) - they are my absolute favorites from the collection. These papers always make me think about our vacation to Santorini last summer.
First, I printed out the photos that are going to be in the album. There are many beautiful details on this island especially from the tiles, carpets, and streets. They are everywhere and I like the patterns and colors very much. The papers fit perfectly! And with the golden shimmer they look very noble.
For the cover I cut out a piece of cloth from a kitchen towel. I cut a paper strip out from Paper 13 that reminds me of the tiles I found in Santorini to become a very simple cover along with an ampersand sticker from Paige's Take Me Away collection.
So that the papers and photos are the main focus, I used very little embellishments. This album was about "less is more" which was a real challenge for me because I love decorating! So I had to hold back and make it rather discreet.
Due to the patterns on the papers, the pages look very nice and simple. I also added vellum so that the album looks light and harmonious.
Here are a few more pages. You can see I photograph the ground a lot, haha.
I hope you enjoyed my mini album! This time it's very simple. I think you can design so many beautiful projects with Paige's collections, that's the great thing about them! Until next time!
