Hey-howdy-hi! I have a new layout and process video to share with you today featuring my Stitched Hearts Template Silhouette cut file and my brand new collection with Pink Paislee called Pick-Me-Up - available mid-January!

Let's start with the process video so you can see this cut file in action!

Let's start with the process video so you can see this cut file in action!
Basically the cut file is a time-saver and perfectionist helper :) Rather than piercing all of the stitching holes by hand, I put the cut file in a new Silhouette document, size it, get all the machine settings right, and then walk away to run errands or do chores while the Cameo pierces all the holes. When I come back maybe 15 minutes later the paper is all ready for stitching!

I have been on a chain link stitch lately - I LOVE the texture it creates and how the colors really pop. I went to Hobby Lobby with one of my Pick-Me-Up patterned papers and picked out any and all threads that matched! We went to Wallace, Idaho for Christmas last weekend and the drive there is about 6 hours long - perfect for a stitching project! I think the entire stitching portion took about 10 hours. Yes yes I know, crazy ol' me ;) But it makes time fly by in the car!

Once I finished the stitching it was time for the photo, title, journaling, and embellishments - all of the things that make a scrapbook page a scrapbook page! I chose a silly photo of me and Jane - I thought it was in our home but when I turned it over to add adhesive I noticed printed on the back it said "Sintra, Portugal!" Oh yeah! This was taken on the metro on the way there from Lisbon! So my journaling is very simple but I am going to add a tag behind the photo with more information about this day. I filled in the heart with all kinds of flowers and added lots of teeny tiny chipboard heart stickers.

I hope you are inspired to try my Stitched Hearts Template Silhouette cut file and keep your eyes peeled for Pick-Me-Up coming soon!
