Unicorn & Christmas Tree Layouts by Lorilei Murphy

Hope you are having an awesome Saturday! Today I'm sharing not one, but TWO new layouts from Design Team Member Lorilei Murphy featuring my Silhouette cut files!
Hi friends! Lorilei here! I just had to die cut this Unicorn when I saw her! My cousin’s daughter adores unicorns and has them all over her room. I busted out my Pink Paislee Summer Lights 6x6 Paper Pad to back the unicorn with the gorgeous purples, pinks, and teals! I knew for sure I would need lots of glitter so I used gold glitter paper for the horn and punched out stars. The frame Ephemera Die Cut from Take Me Away coordinated perfectly so I cut out the centre and printed a quote to slide under the frame. I also added an Epoxy Heart Paper Clip from Take Me Away. When I was peeling the cut file from my Silhouette sheet I mistakenly threw away Miss Unicorn's eye so I also printed and fussy cut an eye to finish her off :)
What do you do when a cut file has so many adorable little bits left over? Paint them!! After I die cut the Half Christmas Tree cut file I ended up with all the adorable cut outs and I couldn’t bear to throw them away. I got out my watercolors and painted each little icon and after they were dry I added some details with a sharpie fine tip marker. I used the cut out tree as a mask shape and painted the paper with green watercolor paint and also added splatters over the rest of the page. I then glued the icons back into their spot, again using the cut out tree for placement. Turn the Page is SO perfect for Christmas pages so I added a Chipboard Sticker star and bird, Journaling Spot tag, and cut out the banner from the cut apart Paper 01. So fun and festive!!
