As soon as I saw Paper 07 with all the colors I knew I had to use it on a layout. I mean, ALL THE COLORS! Makes my heart so happy. First I used my Scalloped Border Background and cut one border from each colored stripe. Then I went through my sewing notions and found threads to machine stitch through all of the borders. This took a bit longer than I anticipated and it's sooooo not perfect, but I love the overall look and texture it adds.
Next I went through all of the Confetti Wishes 12x12 papers (Paper 01, Paper 02, Paper 03, Paper 04, Paper 05, Paper 06, Paper 07, Paper 08, Paper 09, Paper 10, Paper 11, Paper 12) and the 6x6 Paper Pad and punched half circles from every design and color and adhered them to their coordinating color of scalloped border. I fiddled around trying to pick a patterned paper background, but ultimately decided on a light kraft cardstock. I love how the colors pop against this neutral shade.
Then I played with the placement of the scalloped borders - do I make them straight? Or skiwampus? Trim them to all different widths? I decided to make them a little bit crooked and trimmed off one scallop from a few of the borders. I kept them in the same color arrangement as the original patterned paper they came from - why change a good thing?! :)
Confetti Wishes is a birthday-themed line, but the photos I chose were simply of my daughter scrapping with me. So I picked and pulled pieces from the collection that aren't necessarily birthday-themed, but still convey my feelings about this moment. My daughter LOVES birds SO MUCH so I added a few of them here and there. She's five years old so I added a "5" Puffy Sticker. There are a lot of sentiment Stickers that I placed color-on-color that fit the theme. So I went with the color-on-color technique to add pops of texture and fun around the page.
To finish I placed a "together" Phrase Thickers title under the photos and typed "scrapping" to fit above. I journaled along one of the borders with a pencil and that finished up the layout! I hope you can see how Confetti Wishes can be used for pages that aren't birthday-themed! The colors are so bright and happy and can be used with a plethora of topics, even scrapping with your bestie :)
