Bookbinding Class at Paper Tales Recap

Tuesday, May 15, 2018

After exploring our old stomping grounds in South Pasadena (recap coming soon!) we headed down south to San Diego so I could teach a bookbinding class at the first pop up shop for Paper Tales!
The event was next door to Sea World and was absolutely darling and the most perfect space for teaching and shopping. I set up all the kits and supplies and then we got started.
I loved perusing through the pop up store and got myself a few new charms to tie into the bindings of future books.
Perfect collection for our trip to Disneyland that followed.
Details.

Knee-deep in the bookbinding process.
Almost done!
A closer look at the spine with Crate Paper buttons, Amy Tangerine tassels, jewel beads, and Turn the Page Puffy Stickers.
My favorite and most rewarding part is seeing all the finished books lined up in a row. It's so fun to see how each participant adorns her book - from the paint color to the charms and which sides of the paper to show, they're all unique and beautiful.
Once we all finished up our books we headed outside to the marina to take pics with a view.
It was a super awesome day with super awesome ladies and I hope to be back again soon for round two!
I do have extra bookbinding kits, wooden boards, and an online class which you can find in my Bookbinding Shop!
