Kindergarten Layout & Process Video

I've got a new layout to share today with Jane's official Kindergarten photo, my Scalloped Circles Background cut file, and my Pick-Me-Up collection with Pink Paislee!
Here is a process video so you can see how this layout came together:

I started by having my Silhouette Cameo 3 die cut the Scalloped Circles Background from textured white cardstock. Then I trimmed Paper 10 into rows and punched 1" circles from each patterned square. I cut all of the circles in half to make semi-circles and used those to back the scallops of the cut file. I placed adhesive only along the flat edge which let the scallops bend up to create dimension & shadows.
I used my Brother sewing machine and white thread to stitch around the inner edge of each circle for texture, to make sure the paper semi circles stay in place permanently, and to add that "home spun" look.
The cut file is designed to be concentric, but I decided to layer them all at the left side, using the B-side of Paper 16 for my background. I used foam squares to attach the scalloped circles in place, again to create depth and dimension.
I added the photo of Jane on the left side and embellished minimally with Chipboard Stickers and Puffy Stickers to let the background shine. Around the inner edge of the circles I created the title using white Mini Foam Thickers, the year with mini number Stickers, and wrote journaling with a .03 black precision pen.
That's it! I hope Jane looks back at this layout and fondly remembers her year at Kindergarten. She made some great friends, loved her teacher, and learned so much. We'll miss Chloe Clark Elementary!
