Love You Layout by Lorilei Murphy

Hello friends! Lorilei here today and I have a new layout to share using Paige's gorgeous Love You cut file! You can find the file for free at Paige's Happy Scrappy Place Facebook group! At first, I cut the file as it comes. Once I started fiddling around with it I decided to try cutting it three times with the size getting smaller. Right away I knew that would work for my layout!
I chose a white cardstock background and added gesso. I then puddled and painted three colors onto the background with co-ordinating splatters. I let the paint dry in between layers to achieve a saturated color. I played with my three cut files every which way I could think of. I finally decided to add the largest size at the bottom and work my way up to the smallest.

I lightly glued areas of the cut files to the background. Only about two places per cut file so that I would still have it lifted up to create some shadows and dimension. I had cut extra hearts when I originally cut the file and decided to stitch them together and pop them into the heart openings. I love how that looks! I added messy thread under two of the hearts to break up the white.

Fussy cut butterflies from Turn the Page were the perfect embellishments for this page. I stacked some of the butterflies for even more dimension and a "floaty" feel!

My page is very girly, but you could easily adapt this design with almost anything and any color! Paper airplanes from Turn the Page with blues and greens would be stunning!! Thank you for stopping by to check out my page today!
