Here is my "October Occasionally" from last year! This is one of my favorite annual projects. It's sort of like December Daily but I don't work on it until after October is over and I don't document every day. It's just for fun :)
Here is a flip through and explanation of this album:

A few years ago I purchased a bunch of 4x4 mini albums from American Crafts brands and have been working my way through them ever since. I thought the black & white stripes were perfect for this spooky season!
The totally bewitching charm is from Emily Inspired Designs. I can't even with them! I need them for practically every mini album - they're the perfect finishing touch and she makes them in allllll varieties and holidays and themes!

I used a wide variety of Halloween supplies from a whole bunch of different companies. As long as it's Halloween-themed, it works for me! There is also a mix of 4x4 and 2x2 pocket pages that came with the album plus extras from We R Memory Keepers.
I like to add mini wooden clothespins here and there to help making turning the pages a bit easier - they're quite bulky though so another solution is to staple stickers/die cuts/puffy stickers back-to-back on the page edges.
Who remembers these silly masks and hats in Target last year? The kids had a blast trying them on.
Fox's birthday is in October so that's always something to look forward to! He still had his two front baby teeth just last year!
Sometimes I don't know where to put my journaling so I punch a hole in a journaling spot and add it right into the album.
You'll notice on most of the pages I added washi tape to the left edge and then re-punched the holes. I love the pop of color and interest this adds to the pages.
I make sequin pockets every year :) They're just so fun!
I used my Bat Background cut file to create a stitching template and made these bats on a transparency page.
Here's a closer look at the stitching.
Jane was a bat for the second year in a row! I found the etsy shop I purchased her first one from and just ordered the next size up!
Zoe's birthday is October 15th, the day after Fox's - how fun is that! So we went over to Eric and Tanya's for the festivities.
Can't forget about the fur babies! Joey the dog, Rachel the cat, and Phoebe the bunny. We're big FRIENDS fans.
Fox & Jane had lots of celebratory activities starting with a spooky night of fun at school.
Google had "Kirkloween" 2017. The kids trick-or-treated all around the Kirkland campus with my dad leading the way.
I collected some colorful fall leaves around our neighborhood and preserved them in a pocket.
We went to the zoo with Eric & Tanya and family which was decked out for Halloween.
Come October 1st I start watching allll the scary movies! I die cut a movie reel and printed tiny movie poster images to back all of the open spaces, front and back.
We picked our pumpkins from a local farm.
I backed another one of my cut files with patterned papers for a unique insert page.
Carving pumpkins is such a great tradition!
I even saved some of the pumpkin seeds. Fox wanted me to take them out and bake them lol.
The Halloween parade at the kids' school was epic. Sure put me in the Halloween spirit!
Right after school we went to "downtown" DuPont and trick-or-treated at all of the businesses. Already they got so much candy!
A few hours later it was real trick-or-treat time! WOOHOO!
The kids hauled it in. We had to make a pit stop back at home to empty their buckets and head back out!
My kids being the picky eaters they are only ate about 1/25 of this, the rest we nibbled at until we moved in July and then donated the rest to Chris' coworkers.
I combined all of the movies I took throughout October into one and then made a QR code so when I scan it, it opens up the YouTube video. Technology is so cool!
I had a total blast making this album. Can't wait to start working on the 2018 version!
