Let's Race Layout by Kim Jeffress

Welcome back to Paige’s blog! Kim Jeffress here and I love telling the stories of my family’s outings. Having two young boys we are always out doing crazy activities and a few weekends ago we ended up at a Go Kart track. We had an awesome day! When I saw the new Race Flags cut file I knew it was the perfect complement to my photos. I wanted to make it a statement on my layout so I cut it using some black American Crafts cardstock at 11 inches high.
I then created my base. I took Paper 11 from the Whimsical collection and then trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 11.5 inches square. I adhered it to the patterned paper and then stitched around the edge. I added pop dots to the back of the flag and added it diagonally across my page. I placed my three photos also diagonally in and around the flag to create a cohesive feel.
I wanted to add a touch of texture to my cut file so I punched some hearts from excess white cardstock and added them into parts of the negative spaces. I like the effect this creates. I used the  Foam Mini Thickers to add to my title and embellished with some of the Rub-Ons. I also added some of the Puffy Stickers to my layout for some fun! I added my journaling strips overlapping the cut file to complete my layout.

I love being able to store my family’s stories forever. Making them pretty with paper, cut files, and glue is just a bonus!
