Love You Layout by Jana Maiwald-McCarthy

Hi everyone, Jana Maiwald-McCarthy back again and I have a new layout for. For this page I used Paige's Love You cut file and her Whimsical collection.

I cut the Love You from white cardstock using a Silhouette Cameo and backed the open letters with Paper 16 and Paper 19. I wanted to have some mixed media in the background so I grabbed one of my favorite heart stencils and modeling paste. I used Shimmerz and watercolors to mix the perfect shades of purple. I used 3D squares for the cut file to raise it up and to create shadows and dimension. The picture I scrapped is a small one of my hubby. I decided to go with black & white just because of all the purple I am using here. I fussy cut matching embellishments: hearts from Paper 11, flowers from Paper 14, and random words from Paper 18.

I also created layered hearts to fill the open spaces. I used tissue paper and stitched all of the layers together. The thread also gives extra texture and interest. I placed all of the embellishments pretty close together, all around my photo. Some flowers from the Floral Die Cuts were also added to the mix of pretty purple stuff. I scattered a lot of little hearts around the cut file and I really love how this layout turned out. Be sure to check out Paige's cut files for ideas and inspiration.
