Tiny Rolled Paper Flowers Layout

Friday, March 22, 2019

I have a new layout made for the Scrapmadness video-a-day series by Laura Alberts and Miranda Webber featuring tiny rolled paper flowers and my Whimsical collection!
Here is the process video:

I started by sizing all nine of my rolled paper flower cut files to less than 2" and then cut them from Paper 19 which has 30 different rectangles of patterned paper - perfect for getting lots of different colors and patterns of flowers in one pass of the machine! It took about 10 minutes for the Silhouette Cameo 3 to cut them all out.

Then I rolled up each of the flowers and attached them with a dab of hot glue. The process video above is super helpful to see exactly how this is done :) I needed more flowers though so I trimmed 2" squares from all 24 of the Whimsical patterned papers, both sides, and cut 48 more flowers. I didn't end up rolling all of them, but I used about 60 of them and each one was so fun to make!
Then I die cut my Flower Heart cut file from white cardstock as well as the inner piece and glued them together. Before adhering the flower heart onto the B-side pink crosshatch Paper 03 I chose for the background, I splashed white acrylic paint on the top right and bottom left sides and let it dry. I used the Flower Heart as a template for placing the tiny rolled paper flowers - five flowers on each die cut flower, and then I tucked leaves underneath.
I added three square black & white photos of me and Jane inside the heart, added sentiment Stickers and Puffy Stickers at the bottom of each photo, then applied stitching Rub-Ons below. To finish I wrote journaling with a black pen under one photo.

I hope you are inspired to check out the Scrapmadness video-a-day series by Laura Alberts and Miranda Webber as well as my rolled paper flower cut files and Whimsical collection! Thanks for stopping by!
