Hello there, Julie Taylor back with you again today. Don’t you just love it when a cut file speaks to you and this one did just that! As a mother of two girls it’s definitely a Girl Squad in our house! Poor hubby is outnumbered 3 to 1 and really doesn’t get much say!
I first added some mixed media such as inks and modeling paste to a piece of white cardstock then cut two small pieces from the top left and bottom right edges, punched, distressed, and added a bit of the rainbow striped Paper 16 behind.
I cut the Girl Squad from white cardstock and backed each word with vellum then hand stitched around each letter with pink, yellow, and blue threads.
I added my photo behind the Q and did a few clusters around some of the letters, grouping them in color order using Whimsical Stickers, images from the 6x6 Paper Pad, Ephemera Die Cuts, a Tassel Paper Clip, and a few fussy cut pieces from Paper 07 & Paper 08 and that cute fox just finishes off the page nicely.
Thanks for joining me today, until next time!
