Love Layout by Cristina Sales

Thursday, April 4, 2019

Hi ladies Cristina Sales here, happy Thursday to everyone! Today I have a new layout to share about my lovely kitty and and his delicious nose. I fell in love with this Love cut file by Paige - it was love at first sight!
First I made the watercolor background with a very soft pink using Neocolor II by Caran d’Ache and let it dry. I then cut Love cut file using white cardstock and my Silhouette Cameo and backed the cut file with vellum for a transparency effect. I hand stitched around the title using a light pink embroidery thread.

The beautiful rolled flowers were made from Whimsical Paper 07. I really love those flowers because you can choose so many sizes to cut them to have such different effects. The flowers with foil accents are from the 6x6 Paper Pad. I can’t make a project without a floral touch! I made my layering composition choosing only two focal points on the opposite corners of the title. I applied the rule of thirds very well known to those who are passionate about photography. For those who don’t know this rule this is a system to which dividing the image into thirds and placing the subject in one of the intersection points of the imaginary lines, it is believed that the image is more dynamic, but harmonious at the same time. The rule is so popular that some cameras have viewfinders with a third-party subdivision grid for this purpose.
Other decorations are Stickers from WhimsicalChipboard StickersFoam Mini Thickers, and Butterfly Charms. I completed my composition with some drops of Gold Colorshine by Heidi Swapp and some tiny buttons. I hope you like my project and if you have any questions please let me know in a comment below!

Thanks for stopping by and see you in my next post!
