Hello creative friends, it's Lady Nany sharing my first layout with the Horizon collection and Paige's Layered Butterfly cut file.
This project is a self-portrait that synthesizes my current emotional state: free and happy despite the battles. Therefore, everything associated with happiness I represent with colors and the freedom with butterflies. (You can choose the element that best represents them and find a way to recreate this project!). I used the Layered Butterfly cut file and cut it with my Silhouette Curio in Paper 02, Paper 04, Paper 05, Paper 08, and Paper 23. On a base of white cardstock I mixed watercolors (in the colors of my butterfly) forming a burst of movement with a brush. Once dry, I applied heat embossing using Versamark, a flower from the Acrylic Stamps, and white embossing powder by Ranger.
Next I stuck the butterfly with foam tape, also adding it between layers to make sure that the wings are slightly raised. I placed the photo at the same level as the butterfly and began decorating with Floral Die Cuts. I felt that the lower edge lacked compositional elements that reinforce the visual journey of this page. So I tore with my fingers forming a triangle and I completed it with pink Washi Tape on white cardstock. On top of that I placed two flowers and added a extra piece of Washi Tape in blue. I fussy cut the title "Never Forget Smile" from Paper 04 and stuck it with foam tape. Then I stamped the date with black ink and wrote a motivational phrase on the other side.
And that's all friends, I hope you find inspiration in this project to create your own memories. Thank you very much for visiting!
