Hello there, Julie Taylor back with you again today sharing a mixed media layout using the Cityscape cut file by Paige Evans and the Horizon collection.
I first started by adding some gesso and modeling paste to some white cardstock and then using colors from Paper 19, the lovely rainbow stripe, I created some drips down the paper and punched small circles, in the same colors, to add on top. I tried to keep the colors in line with the stripes so it looked like the paper was dripping.
I ripped a piece of Paper 19 and Paper 04, curled the edges, and added these to my mixed media cardstock. I chose to use the Cityscape cut file because these cute houses are perfect replicas of the houses in Amsterdam, where my photo was taken. I cut them out in white cardstock and colored them using the same colors as the drips and backed each one with a toning color cardstock out of the Horizon Project Pad exclusive to JoAnn stores. The yellow paper they sit on is also out the Project Pad. I layered them up, across the page, adding foam to some for dimension.
I added my photo to the far right under a frame cut from Paper 18 and added some Ephemera around it, choosing the bike and a few fussy cut stamps from Paper 22. The Epoxy Sticker word "explore" was the perfect title and I couldn’t resist adding the bike Charm.
Thanks for joining me today, until next time!
