Family - Flower Wreath Layout

Sunday, May 12, 2019

Hi scrappy friends! I have a new layout to share with you today - it's definitely nothing new but it's the first time I've used my Horizon collection to create a flower wreath layout so there ya go! Everything used on this page can be found at JoAnn stores, including the exclusive Project Pad.
Here is a process video so you can see how quickly and easily this layout came together from start-to-finish:

I started by tracing a round plate onto the solid cornflower paper found in the Project Pad. Then I splashed watered down white acrylic paint and Prima watercolors on top to create interest on the background and it adds another layer of fun!
Using the circle as a guide, I placed all of the Floral Die Cuts around, starting with the largest flowers first and then placing the smaller ones on top. I didn't glue anything down right away, I wanted to figure out where to add the photo and journaling first. I made room for the picture on the left side and then used different depths of adhesive to attach all the flowers and the photo in place.
I tucked a blue label Ephemera Die Cut under the left side of the photo and added one of the layered Tags to the right. I fussy cut the blue "family" title from Paper 04 and placed it at the top of the picture. Three flower Paper Clips adorn the picture/tag. To finish I tucked a pink journaling spot from the Ephemera Die Cuts into the right side of the wreath and journaled on it with a blue pen.
You can never go wrong with a floral wreath! I say that every time, because it's TRUE! And again, everything you see here from my Horizon collection can be found at JoAnn stores, including the exclusive Project Pad, so you can create this page in a jiffy!
