Hi everyone, Jana Maiwald-McCarthy back again and I have a new layout for you. For this page I used four different cut files: a new Rolled Flower, Layered Flowers and Leaves, Layered Flower, and Flower Bunch, mixed with bits from the Horizon line and the Whimsical collection.
I started with making the cut files much smaller and then I had a look into all of the Horizon papers. I knew I wanted to have my flowers all in blue, purple, and pink. I grabbed Paper 02, Paper 04, Paper 05, Paper 06, Paper 09, Paper 14, and Paper 16 and placed them on my cutting mat. I used a different color for each layer of the flowers. The Flower Bunch was cut out from white cardstock. I used hot glue for the flower layers, it gives them some dimension and is very easy to use.
I placed the white flower on my white background and decided to go very clean and simple today. The rolled and layered flowers were placed on top of the white flowers; I added some matching thread behind them just for some color detail and texture. I added blue leaves from the Floral Die Cuts to the layered flowers, a pink tag from the Ephemera Die Cuts, a piece patterned paper (Paper 05) was placed behind the photo, and some Chipboard Sticker hearts were scattered around the layout.
The title was created with a Chipboard Sticker from the Whimsical collection and one from the Horizon collection. I placed some butterfly Stickers around the flowers and the final touches were matching Enamel Dots, a Puffy Sticker, and a little bit of journaling. This layout came together pretty quickly and I really love how it turned out!
I hope you're inspired to mix and match some cut files on your next project. Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!
