Hi friends, Cristina Sales here today to share with you my first project of June with a very spring look dedicated to Mother's Day. I chose a floral theme cut file, Wildflowers. I really like the irregular shape of the flowers and the branch that seems to come out of the water. I cut it with my Silhouette Cameo using Paper 04 from Horizon (this paper has the same shade of pink in combination with the color of the roses in the picture. Love it!!!) and I decided to add all my decorations on a white cardstock background to give much more effects to the layers.
To add embellishments I had so much fun choosing all the details from Horizon and Whimsical. It’s a clean & simple page but I really love how it turned out and I hope you love it too.
Creating a layout to celebrate Mother's Day I think is one of the most significant forms of affection for a creative and in fact looking at this page makes me think of her. Surely scrapbooking is a truly unique way for those who make it with passion to impress and fix our memories.
Since the color of the flowers in the photo and those of the paper used to the cut file were very similar, I used an Ephemera Die Cut frame with a blue pattern to frame the photo but at the same time to create a detachment from the base and give greater prominence to the photo.
That’s it friends, see you in my next post!
