Hello, friends! Donna Espiritu here back with a new scrapbook layout using Paige's Butterfly Heart Stitching Template cut file and the Horizon collection!
Normally I love using embellishments to create lots of layers and clusters. But once I finished with stitching all the butterflies, I thought it's already fully beautiful and needed only a few things as accents. I wanted to highlight the stitched cut file as much as possible.
I used different colors of embroidery thread to create a colorful and textured background. It took me maybe 4-5 days! But that is because I will only stitch for a few hours or minutes in a day and come back later when I am done with other stuff aka adulting and being a mom lol! All in all, I think the stitching took me about 10-12 hours cumulatively. It's so worth it. I love how it turned out.
I used the leftover butterflies and flowers I fussy cut for previous projects to embellish - goes to show never throw away leftovers or scraps. Then just one (yes just one!) piece from the Floral Die Cuts. The title is a mixture of Epoxy Stickers and Foam Mini Thickers from Whimsical. Then I cut around the stitched cut file and mounted it with foam tape on another white cardstock.
That's all from me today. I hope my layout inspired you to create something as well. Thank you for dropping by and hope to see you in my next post!
