Hey friends, it's Jamie Pate bringing you a fresh new mini album with all things Horizon and all kinds of Paige Evans cut files.
For those of us in the NorthernHem it's beginning to feel a lot like summer. Just in time too as today's mini album is brought to you by sunshine, yellow, butterflies, and outside memories. Using one of Paige's Envelope cut files, I crafted that into a holder for a mini album. But first, the outside.
The envelope is embellished with this Layered Butterfly cut file. I used the Horizon Project Pad plus vellum and a black dot pattern to create the layers of butterfly. Wanting to stay with mostly yellows and white with a little pop of black, the butterfly was layered over a black label. The solid yellow cardstock from the Project Pad was used to create some notched paper pieces to tuck in and under as well. I have a thing for that Branch cut file currently. So it was cut out of white cardstock and tucked under the label. While the cluster of embellishment is fairly subtle, it creates great depth and texture and interest to this holder of a mini album.
Inside the envelope the mini album can be found. It is crafted from patterned paper that measures about 4x6". It too is adorned with the Branch cut file. I used Paige's Back This Font for the title inside. It's fairly whimsical and just fun. The title is layered over a tag from the Horizon Ephemera Die Cuts. This was one of those projects that brought a lot of joy to create. Fun was sort of the theme for me here. Am sure it was fueled by that yellow patterned paper (Paper 01).
Inside the mini album is plenty of room for a recent event in our backyard with all our family. The yellow and the butterflies evoked this yearning for summer. Loving to scrap seasonally this little album tucked inside that fabulous envelope is perfect for right now.
So grab those oh so perfect outdoor photos. Bring along Horizon and your favorite Paige Evans cut files, and make yourself a pretty seasonal story!

I’ve never been a fan of yellow in my scrapbooking but this yellow and white project is adorable.
ReplyDeleteWonderful project Jamie! I really do love yellow. Yellow, pink and mint are my faves. Your envelope is full of sunshine and texture and such a dear photo too :)
