Always Dream Layout

I created a layout with the new Pink Paislee #StickerBook which is half Auburn Lane and half Indigo & Ivy. This page features the Indigo & Ivy collection and stickers plus a few other things :)
I started by punching a 2 1/2" hexagon from papers in the 6x6 Paper Pad and a few of the 12x12 Papers. I distressed the edges of each hexagon and then used my sewing machine with gold thread to stitch around the borders.

I used the B-side rainbow stripes Paper 12 as my background and splashed watered down white acrylic paint as well as Vintage Pastels watercolors all across it. Once it dried, I machine stitched with white thread between all of the blue stripes for texture and interest. For the final touch on the background, I used my Polka Dots Stencil and scraped white pearl modeling paste through it here and there.

I punched three photos into hexagons and then arranged them along with the patterned paper hexagons across the background. Once happy with the placement of everything I used dimensional adhesive to attach the hexagons to the background.

Next I came in with the #StickerBook. The stickers in these books are thin and mostly meant for planners which aren't necessarily supposed to be bulky (but I love a thicc planner haha!), and since I keep failing at being a planner girl (lol) I use them for scrapbooking. I peeled off stickers I thought I would use and placed them first onto white cardstock and then fussy cut them out to make them more like die cuts.

I arranged a whole bunch of these stickers-turned-die-cuts under and around the trio of photos and in the middle of a lot of the hexagons. I wrote journaling with a blue pen on one of the lighter colored hexagons and then used one of the gold foil die cuts from the Ephemera Die Cuts pack for my title.

I have a million detail shots:

I hope this layout inspires you to pick up the new Pink Paislee #StickerBook!

  2. So cute Paige! Adore the gold stitching and pop of gold with the title. It's so nice when elements are repeated throughout a design. For some reason, the colours and patterns in this collection remind me of a stylish menswear shop, maybe selling travel/summer fashions. I often wish I could buy paper patterns in fabric and sew something beautiful. Maybe a future branch of your collections? :D Cheers, xK
