Hello there, Julie Taylor back with you again and today I’m sharing my last project as a member of Paige's Silhouette Design Team! I made a double page spread!!! I hardly ever do a double pages but whilst looking at what cut files to use I cut out a few designs and having recently been on a trip to Paris, decided one page wasn’t enough to document my travels so used two cut files and did two pages!
I first added some messy painted stripes to some white cardstock and stamped, in the same color, with the Horizon Acrylic Stamps, around the page. I tore strips of the Washi Tape and laid the Scalloped Border Background cut file strips on top, after inking them, and sewed them into place.
I then cut an abundance of the cute suitcases from Paper 17 and added those around my photo, some on foam tape for dimension, and tucked in some Ephemera Die Cuts and one of those lovely Charms. My title is made up using the Thickers, adding even more color to this already bright page.
My second half of this double page spread features this great Map cut file, perfect for any traveling or city break layout. I cut it in white cardstock & inked it, using Distress Oxides, in all the colors used in the previous page and then splattered it with water drops making it oxide, I just love this look & think it gives a fab, cool effect.
I backed the cut file with an actual map from Paris, just one picked up from the hotel, but love that it has some authenticity to it. I put my photo cluster at the bottom right, adding some of the Tags, Ephemera Die Cuts, Floral Die Cuts, another Charm, and a Shaped Paper Clip.
Again I have used the Thickers for my title, drawing around them this time to help them stand out against the busy background & adding some Chipboard Stickers underneath them and sewing those in place.
I’m so pleased with how these pages turned out & now have memories of our fun times in Paris!
