Pink Sunburst Layout for Pink Paislee

Saturday, July 6, 2019

I have a new layout created for the Pink Paislee blog featuring lots of pink, texture, and a sunburst cut file which you can grab from the Scrapbook & Cards Today website!
I went through the Horizon collection and chose five patterned papers (Paper 02Paper 04Paper 17Paper 23, and Paper 11 from Whimsical) from which to cut concentric sunbursts. As the papers were cutting I splashed watered down white acrylic paint and pink watercolors onto a pink ombre paper background (Paper 17 from Whimsical).

Then I heavily distressed the edges of each ray and layered them together onto the pink background paper, using machine stitching to affix the papers in place and also create additional texture. I grabbed a photo of me and Jane and placed it in the middle to make it the center of attention. Next I pulled lots of pink and blue embellishments from Horizon (StickersChipboard StickersEpoxy StickersFloral Die CutsEphemera Die CutsShaped Paper Clips, and Charms) and created two clusters on either side of the photo.
The title is made with a pink Chipboard Sticker that says "Adventure," placed along one of the rays and I wrote journaling with a dark blue pen in the open section opposite the title to balance it out.
I hope this layout inspires you to pick and choose your favorite colors from a collection to create a layered sunburst background!
