Six Layout by Maija Männistö

Hi everyone, Maija Männistö here to share a layout with the Horizon collection. This page celebrates my sweet son’s sixth birthday. So what a better fit for this layout than one of Paige’s newest cut files, ‘SIX’.

First I added texture on the background with Paige’s Star Confetti stencil and white modeling paste. I have been hoarding Paper 03 for awhile and I am so happy I did! The pattern works perfectly with this cut file! For embellishing of the layout I wanted to add something fitting for my son and as a DIY embellishment lover I decided to use Paige’s cut files! The various gorgeous geometric animals and shapes are just perfect for this. And I love that they are also on the more boyish side with the star, dinosaur, fox, bear, feather, llama, and a stained glass heart.

I resized the shapes, cut them from white cardstock, and backed them with Paper 03. This is why I love this paper so much - you can get so much out of it with the different colors! To bring some dimension I adhered a few of the pieces with foam tape. For final touches I added Stickers and Chipboard Stickers. And can’t forget little paper flags that have become my signature piece in every project!
