I used my Sketch & Stitch Heart Circles cut file to have the Silhouette Cameo 3 draw the hearts with a pencil in the first tool holder and then in the second tool holder a ratchet blade pierced the holes for stitching. Such a time saver!
This took about 10 hours to stitch by hand using a rainbow of DMC embroidery thread (all six strands) and a chain stitch. You can watch a tutorial for creating a chain link stitch here.
I took a poll on instagram and Facebook asking whether to turn this project into a layout and therefore cover some of the hearts, or leave it as is and frame it. In the end I've decided to frame it and hang it on the wall of my happy scrappy place.
I hope this gets you itching for stitching! :) Hand stitching is my zen, my jam, my thang.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to grab my Sketch & Stitch Heart Circles cut file so you can create this too!

ReplyDeleteThis is beyond dedicated! Your creativity knows no bounds Paige! I saw that you framed your beautiful work and I'm so inspired. I just really love all the colours and symmetry. Can I ask, what size needle do you use when you stitch on paper? Bravo my dear! It's stunning xK
