This is the Good Stuff Layout

I created a new layout featuring my Flower Circle Sketch & Stitch cut file paired with a bit of Truly Grateful!
I started by having my Silhouette Cameo 3 draw the Flower Circle cut file with a pencil in the first tool holder and then it made holes for stitching with a ratchet blade in the second tool holder. All ready to stitch!

Love these cut files and the versatility!

I used an ombre thread with a few different colors (dark pink, light pink, lime green, and light blue) that I found at Michaels and spent several hours hand stitching the entire design. I think it took about 8-10 hours to stitch. It's my zen though - I thoroughly enjoy hand stitching.

Once finished stitching I set the page aside and actually forgot about it for a few months because it was buried under a different layout! When I found it again I was excited to complete it. I chose a recent photo of Fox & Jane up at Winter Park ski resort this summer. The flowers were in full bloom and oh so pretty. Had to get a picture.

For the background I used the pink ombre striped B-side of Paper 23. I cut out the Flower Circle and glued it in place on the background. I layered the photo over a few Journaling Spots on the right edge of the circle. I added a few StickersPuffy Stickers, and Epoxy Stickers for embellishments and then sprinkled on a few Wooden Buttons.

I wrote journaling with a blue pen along the inside curve of the circle to finish.

I hope this layout inspires you to check out my Sketch & Stitch cut files and Truly Grateful collection! Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Wow, what an amazing layout. So beautiful. A shame to hide it in an album. It deserves to be framed on the wall!

  4. Soooo beautiful Paige ! I just love how your gorgeous stitching comes out with the variegated thread. Do you back stitch or just go around each petal twice? I'm always torn as to which way to go. The ephemera around your sweet photo is so nicely layered too! That sure was a cute town!
