Blessed Layout by Jamie Pate

Hey guys! Jamie Pate with a new layout for this week! I love crafting extra fun layouts when my girls photos are involved. I don't know... I've always loved to add the pinks and florals and fluff. And this fun little photo of them fits right in!
For today's layout I chose to work on a white background. Like... that never happens! But also to add a white cut file right on top. The Leaves Background cut file is a bit of a go-to file for me right now. I mean, with fall and all, it's a seasonal fit for sure. My original idea was to use that cut file with some of the Truly Grateful papers and layer the color on the white. Well, that was a little bit of a fail.

While I really really loved the white on white, and thought a bunch of color would work too, it just didn't. And that's OK. Sometimes you have to play around a little on your page before you commit. It's part of the process. And part of the fun!

So instead, I decided to do a vertical cluster of the cut file and some of the Floral Die CutsCardstock Stickers, as well as Epoxy Stickers too. This worked! I love when a plan comes together. The BLESSED Puffy Phrase Stickers played the part of title. And all the hues played together nicely to create a fun and fallish layout.

Don't be afraid to cut up extra cut file pieces. Play around with the cuts and discard what doesn't work. But most of all, enjoy the creative process of telling your story!

  2. So fresh and clean. The Monochromatic design works wonderfully with the sweet trail of leaves and bits spilling down over the cut file. It's really pretty !
