Just a Little Lovely Layout

Friday, October 11, 2019

I created a fall-themed layout for the Fall 2019 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine featuring the Just a Little Lovely collection by Pinkfresh Studio and my Leaf Wreath cut file.
I started by doing a bit of mixed media on a textured peach cardstock background. I splashed watered down white acrylic paint as well as watercolors from these three Prima sets: Pastel DreamsTropicals, and Vintage Pastels - I picked colors to match Just a Little Lovely and let it dry.

Meanwhile, I die cut my Leaf Wreath cut file from white cardstock using a Silhouette Cameo 3 and then adhered it onto the background. Next I die cut dozens of leaves from one of the watercolored looking papers. I took some time to machine stitch each leaf using gold thread for a really pretty shine.

I gently folded the leaves in half to create texture and then adhered them over the die cut leaf wreath, trying to bunch the leaves in groups together by color. I used the leaf wreath as a template when placing the leaves - I simply placed one leaf on top of one leaf, which made placing of the leaves really easy!

I layered two photos on the left side and created a title with a variety of Just a Little Lovely puffy stickers.
On the right side I layered die cuts, sentiments, and stickers to create a visual cluster and then finished by journaling under the large title.

I hope this layout inspires you to pick up the Fall 2019 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine as well as my Leaf Wreath cut file and the pretty Just a Little Lovely collection by Pinkfresh Studio!
