Mini Books & Cut File Cards by Lilly Sanchez

Saturday, October 5, 2019

Hey guys, it's Lilly Sanchez, hope everyone is having a great day! Today I'm back on the blog to share not one but two fun projects I created using Truly Grateful. I was super inspired by a fellow crafter @bambismail's mini books and I just had to recreate them.

These are two tiny 2x4 books that you can use in any way that you like. Amber used them as mini albums and I will be making mine as tiny embellishment books. They are adorable to look at and I made these with Truly Grateful papers. I used Ephemera Die Cuts to decorate them and added some Puffy Stickers. I also used Paige’s charms from her Oh My Heart collection to spice them up a bit.

Onto the cards! Making cards is very therapeutic for me, especially when I don’t have a lot of time to craft. I just whip up a quick card and get my crafty urge out the way. If you are a crafty girl like me you definitely know what I mean hahaha!

Paige's cut files can easily turn into handmade cards just by sizing them down. So I decided to use the Beautiful and Love cut files to create my cards. I used plain white cardstock for my base and backed it with Paper 10. I then put a layer of tulle over the matte and stitched in a pocket filled with sequins to create a shaker style card.

I then added my cut files on top but not before backing the letters with Paper 15Paper 06Paper 19Paper 10Paper 04Paper 13, and Paper 20. Last thing I chose to add to the cards were the Wooden Buttons as added texture.

Well that's it for today and I hope you guys enjoyed my creations! Until next time!

  1. Hi Liller, how adorable are those little albums !! Is there a binder clip inside or pockets? The covers with the stitching and pretties are really creative. Love the idea of stitching tulle onto a card front to make a shaker too! Wonderful designing dear <3 xK
