Hi everyone, Maija Männistö here to share a beautiful home décor project made with the Truly Grateful collection! I wanted to create something outside the traditional scrapbooking layouts and mini albums so I created this wall art piece for my craft room.
I’ve been wanting to use Paige’s sketch and stitch cut files for a while and finally got around to create with one of them. I chose the Beautiful Sketch & Stitch cut file, sized it to fit my 5x7” frame, and used my Silhouette Cameo 3 to sketch and cut it at once, super easy and fast! Then it was time for stitching. This one took me about 5 hours to stitch and I chose colors to match Truly Grateful.
After framing the stitched piece without the glass of the frame I added several different Rolled Flower cut files. I sized the flower cut files to 2" each so that I could fit them onto the patterned square paper, Paper 14. This way I could get all the flowers in different colors and the patterns were perfect for this size too!
I didn’t want to fill the whole frame so I just focused on two opposite corners and used hot glue to attach the flowers. This way the beautiful stitch work is still the main focus of the project but the flowers complement it so well. I highly recommend trying Paige's Sketch & Stitch cut files, they are so pretty and super easy to get started on the stitching!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
