Hello friends! My name is Anna Komenda and, as you can imagine, I am over the moon excited to be a guest designer with Paige's cut files. My Silhouette Cameo is a well loved tool in my craft room and I love incorporating cut files into my pages. When I am on the hunt for some, new inspiring designs, I always check Paige's shop first and I always find everything I was looking for. If you want to know me better, you can check my instagram, blog, and YouTube channel.
My first layout is very cheerful and it's literally filled with cut files :) I took the Wildflowers cut file and cut it out four times in the same size using watercolor paper. I painted them using my beloved watercolors using different shades of pink and red.
I also painted my own background that made the flowers stand out better. With such a busy page I didn't need much embellishing. I dived into my stash of older Paige's collections (I keep all the ephemera pieces in one bag), and picked all that matched my project. I mixed Whimsical, Pick-Me-Up, and Oh My Heart with a few elements from the newest collection, Truly Grateful. I took several patterned paper scraps and cut out many nesting butterflies using the Layered Butterfly cut file. I sewed them together mixing colors and patterns. The title of my page was created with Epoxy Stickers from Truly Grateful.
My second project created with cut files is another layout. This time I also used a mix of older collections and created a classic wreath. My base and inspiration was this very delicate and elegant Leaf Wreath cut file cut from an Oh My Heart paper.
The green wreath looks great over this ombre, purple background paper from the same collection. I love adding dimension to my projects, so I cut out few flowers using the Layered Flower and Leaves cut file and nested them together. I used some pink papers leftover from various lines. I love the fact that all of Paige's collections work together so well. They are all very colorful and with lots of patterned papers in each collection to give us so many patterns to work with. I am so in love with this flower's shape and I will use it on other projects too. I can already imagine how great a big paper wreath would look on my wall as a home decor. Embellishing this page went really fast. I fussy cut a few butterflies from one of the papers in the Pick-Me-Up and paired them with bits and pieces from Whimsical. The title was also made with an Epoxy Sticker from Truly Grateful.
Last but for sure not least, the project that I created to inspire you with Paige's cut files is a mini album. I've wanted to use this Mini Album Card with Pockets and Envelopes cut file for awhile and being a guest designer for Paige was a perfect opportunity to pull myself together. This time I used only one collection - Truly Grateful. I had a bunch of fall photos from one of our walks and it turned out they are a perfect match with this line.
Usually making mini albums takes awhile for me but this time it went really fast. The cut file did most of the work and I love how unique the shape is. All I needed was to print photos in proper sizes (2") and fill the spots in the album.
I decorated both sides of the album, changing the cut file a little bit. I didn't use all of the elements provided by Paige but that's why I love cut files so much. You can change whatever you want starting from size through all the smaller elements. You pick the papers, the colors, the embellishments, which can be hard with pre-made bases purchased in stores.
Here are few more photos of the inside of this cute mini album:
It was an honor and such great fun to be a guest here! Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you are inspired to check out Paige's cut files and scrapbook collections!
