Hi friends! It's Nidia Rubio from Scrapamundi and today I'm showing you a colorful layout using papers and many details from the Truly Grateful collection and this beautiful cut file by Paige called Hot Air Balloon.
When I saw this Hot Air Balloon cut file I needed to download it right away. I didn't know how I would use it, but I had to. One day I found myself laughing at a mental image: I visualized my friends, my husband, and I flying in these hot air balloons, so I started to create this layout.

I cut the Hot Air Balloon with my Silhouette Cameo in three different sizes and I backed them with many patterned papers from Truly Grateful. I love the foil effect of the 6x8 Paper Pad. This adds a magic touch to the design.

Then I used Paper 13 and gesso to create the background. Also, I used the Star Confetti cut file as a stencil to complete the sky effect with modeling paste. I painted all the background with a blue palette of Distress Oxides and gave golden touches with watercolors and Nuvo Crystal Drops. I made the title with Epoxy Stickers and Puffy Phrase Stickers. I decorated with leaves fussy cut from Paper 10, hand stitching to create movement, and some sequins from the Mixed Embellishments for sparkle.

I hope you like this layout as much as I enjoyed creating it. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
