Welcome to today and a new layout featuring Paige's Truly Grateful collection and Today is a Good Day to Have a Good Day cut file.
Jamie Pate here, and I have really enjoyed crafting these layouts for this blog and diving deep into the Truly Grateful collection. It’s for one a gorgeous rendering of fallish sort of themes and vibes. But it’s also so colorful that one does not feel locked into a particular seasonal theme. Love me a versatile collection like that. Today’s scrapbook page uses a cut file I have been wanting to use for a bit now. Today is a Good Day to Have a Good Day is such a great quote. It evokes a lot of energy and is also pretty generic to cover a wide range of page themes.
This page, using the Today is a Good Day to Have a Good Day quote, was inspired by the right now. I wanted to document this place in time for me personally. The story here is of some random quick photos taken in my work space. There are a few things I want to celebrate right now in my personal life. A huge goal was just achieved. As well as a major undertaking was just accomplished. This page will be part of what I call my This Is Me album. This layout is a creative exercise focused on my story right now. Something that I think we all love to do when we use these open cut files is add in the stuff. For this layout I also cut a Branch cut file out of white cardstock. These white textured branches were layered in among the open letters.
A Floral Die Cut was the main embellishment used on one of the quote openings. Then a Puffy Sticker was layered between the die cut flower and the Branch. I like to layer in threes when I can. I think it gives a lot of interest and dimension to these cut files that are just dying to be embellished. Cardstock Stickers were also tucked in and around the quote. I’m a big fan of word and phrase stickers and these perfectly finished off the page for me. Remember this collection also has a pack of sequins in the Mixed Embellishments so I used these around the quote to give the page a finishing touch.
Take some time to make scrapbook pages all about you. This can be a fun creative exercise. As well as a documenting of you right here. And right now.
