Hi friends! It's Nidia Rubio from Scrapamundi and today I'm sharing with you this double page layout. I'm working on my baby's first album and these are two of the pages. I'm mixing different types of composition in the album. Sometimes I put six photographs on a page without any embellishments or words, and sometimes I make a page like this with lots of decorations.
I was helped by Steffi Ried and I'm so grateful for her advice. She helped me to make the composition when I was stuck and didn't know how to continue. So thank you Steffi! She helped me to realize that the photograph says everything and I must focus the attention on it by not adding too many embellishments.
I wanted to use Paige's Floral Ampersand cut file since the first time I saw it and this layout was the perfect canvas. I backed it with papers from Truly Grateful. The flowers are filled with papers from the 12x12 Paper Pad and the ampersand is filled with papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad. Do you see the foil details? I'm in love with that. Steffi advised me about the vellum letters. I used the Paige Font to cut the words, filled them with vellum, and added them with 3D foam.
I made watercolor spots and added sequins to emphasize the beautiful cut files and placed three die cuts from Truly Grateful around the spread.
And that's all! So simple but lovely. Sometimes you only need a beautiful photograph and some cut files by Paige Evans :)
