Hey everyone! It’s Elsie Robinson here sharing a Valentines(ish!) themed layout. As you would expect, Paige has so many cute Valentine cut files available, so I was spoilt for choice! I decided on a ‘sweet’ theme and chose the Gumball Machine, Conversation Hearts, and Lollipop cut files to help create my layout about how I chose (or “chews”) my little rescue pup! I adopted my dog without having met her beforehand, so it was actually a bit like using a gumball machine and not knowing what “flavour” you’re going to get! Luckily she is the best, as is this Gumball Machine cut file (what a segue), so this cut file was perfect for the story I wanted to tell on this layout.
I started by backing the gumballs with scraps of patterned paper and I used the gorgeous plaid 12x12 Specialty Paper from Truly Grateful to back the base with. I also wanted to have different types of candy scattered around the page, so I cut the Lollipop cut file from white cardstock and I used the different pattern swatches from Paper 14 to cut the hearts out.
I used Paper 06 as my background because I think that this shade of pink might be my new favourite colour! I also used three photos and arranged them in a photo strip design which I think is a really cool way of including multiple photos on a page.
For my title I used the Foam Mini Thickers from Whimsical to spell out ‘I chews you’ because I can never resist a punny title! I also used some of the star Cardstock Stickers and dots from theEpoxy Stickers to add some more colour and whimsy on the page, which was the perfect finishing touch!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re inspired to make a ‘sweet’ page of your own using Paige’s cut files!
