Hi there! Maija Männistö here to share a project that is a first in two ways: my first one using Paige’s gorgeous Bloom Street collection and my first layout featuring our new puppy! You will for sure see more of him in the future!
Pretty much as a baby brings the urge to preserve memories, so does a puppy! And how fun that Paige has just the perfect cut file for a puppy layout’s background - I chose the Paw Print Background cut file and decided to use the negatives of the file. After cutting I took off the paper and left the paws on the mat and painted them with Pastel Dreams watercolors. Then I used the paper with paw holes on it as a guide when placing the paws onto the paper. For a little added dimension I used foam squares to attach some of the paws.
I added two photos and clustered them together with patterned papers and embellishments. I chose papers from the 12x12 Paper Pad to back the photos and used the gorgeous heart paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad to make a pennant. For embellishments I used Ephemera Die Cuts and two Floral Die Cuts. I also added two smaller pennants for fine detailing made with Washi Tape. I adhered them to white cardstock to make the colors really pop!
For the title I used ‘hello’ from the Puffy Vinyl Stickers and paired it with a Cardstock Sticker. It originally said ‘loved’ on it, but I tweaked it a bit and made it into ‘love’. Behind ‘hello’ I added the hearts in a line Cardstock Sticker, it is super cute, a perfect match for the puppy, right?!
Thank you so much for stopping by today, have a great and crafty day!
